To my surprise, there are so many cases about sinkholes happening recently (especially in past months)
I checked some resorces and found some interesting interpretations about this phenomenon.
Generally, people believe that "Sinkhole" is formed by Karst processing.
It might occur in places where the bedrock has loose materilas and has been eaten by groundwater.
Next is the photo of the giant sinkhole in Guatemala, 2010.
This massive hole in the city center in Guatemala aroused people's attention around the world.
It's said a house was swallowed and some people are still missing.
There was a house around the corner. But now it's gone!
The hole is around 30 meters wide and 60 meters deep.
